SMTP Relay Server sometime stoped sending emails to exchange server

Hello All,

I am new to this web site, first of all little detail about my network

I have 1 Domain Controller running windows 2003 Server, running DHCP, DNS server and Active directort
I have another 2003 server as a backup domain controller and file server
My exchange server is 2003 on windows server 2003 O/S

now i have another server running Win 2003 and this one acting as a front end server and doing all email processing including spam and virus scan and than dumping emails to exchange using smart host method,it was working fine from last 1 year but from last 2 months, it just stoped sending emails to exchange and than i have restart my SMTP virtual server service to get the emails to my exchange
i am not using SMTP connector

any help will be highly appriciated
