hello,
currently i run exchange 2003 enterprise server and ms enterprise server 03
i am upgrading the systems to exchange 2007 (2010 with rollback until service pack 1 is release) and server 2008.
i dont know how the current cals are setup, wasnt here when it was implemented. i have never had an issue adding a device or user to the network.
now that i am upgrading, ms and some other resellers are telling me that i need to purchase 75 device calls for the server 2008 system at 24$ a peice, and 75 user cals for the exchange server for 60$ a peice. i think that is kind of extreme and don't really understand why i need so many.
if anyone could better explain this to me than m/s and the resellers have it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
